Where did you meet photography or where did photography meet you? My interest in photography and filmmaking started about 9 years ago. I actually learned on digital but I’ve become obsessed with film for the past 3 years. Now I develop all of my own film in a makeshift darkroom. By day I’m an Art Director for a marketing firm and I also run a vintage camera shop on Etsy.

What are you set out to achieve? I’ve always been fascinated by people and the human esthetic. I also like working with musicians, actors, and other artists and seeing their personality translated through imagery. I started off on the cinematography track at the University and I think that transcends into my photography.

What’s in your camera bag?
I shoot with various formats. I’m still figuring out what cameras fit me best. As for now, I am trying to master the Mamiya Universal. I love the ability to switch between instant film and medium format all in the same camera. I try to shoot everyday usually with my iPhone or a Konica Big Mini 301 that never leaves my side. I rely on my feelings when it comes to the subject, wardrobe, pose, framing, and the decisive moment of when to fire the shutter.
